Unrequited.

*Disclaimer: The following account is purely fictional.

She's just a vile woman
Evil and distressed.

Hopelessly obsessed.
Positively stressed.

Lustful, crazed thoughts on her mind
About men who refuse to take a shine.

Slothful and dazed
Travelling at her own pace.

Too often vanishing without a trace.

Happiness she chases
A giddy headed butterfly
With dancing wings.

Out of her reach, the creature squirms
EVERY SINGLE TIME.

She craves the sound of his applause
‘He’ never concedes.
He never concedes.

Yet He never retreats.
But merely lingers.

Never good enough.
Empty and incomplete.
Lone and desolate.

Perhaps the flaws lie within her
She’ll never know.

She cares too much about those that don’t matter
Not enough about the ones that care.

Drowns her recurrent demons
And sorrows
In purposeful colors
that visibly blur and fade.

Friends nor foes
She has neither.

Within her the twain reside.

She wonders how long before you up and leave.
Like the myriads that deserted her.

Don’t take your time love.
Make it quick,
There’s only so much heart-break
that the ‘tramp’ can endure.
